YBYBC Collection was founded by Marshae Bray, also known creatively as Shae Buttah, alongside her daughter Saniya Phipps, co-owner, creative assistant, and visual artist.

What began as a mother guiding her child through the entertainment industry evolved into a fully systemized creative ecosystem — built from experience, discipline, and results.

Long before YBYBC Collection existed, Marshae was already doing the work.

Saniya Phipps

Saniya Phipps is a versatile visual artist, model, and performer, known for her hand-painted cartoon canvas works and signature runway presence. As a co-owner and creative assistant at YBYBC Collection, she plays a vital role in the artistic direction and development of the brand. Saniya’s work spans fashion, art, and music, with experience walking NYFW and LAFW, and her art featured in international publications. Through her multifaceted approach to creativity, she continues to inspire and elevate the next generation of artists.

Where It Began

Marshae entered the entertainment industry not as a spectator, but as a builder. When her daughter Saniya began showing artistic promise at a young age, Marshae stepped into multiple roles simultaneously — manager, developer, creative director, strategist, and educator — because no single lane offered the kind of structure creators truly need. Together, they navigated the industry from the inside.

Saniya’s development began early, starting at age five, across acting, modeling, dance, and music. Marshae strategically enrolled her in industry-connected workshops, showcases, and classes, while also providing consistent one-on-one training at home — rehearsing lines, refining performance, and building confidence.

To support this growth, Marshae created a creator studio environment from scratch — complete with professional lighting, cameras, sound, and backdrops — used for auditions, rehearsals, photoshoots, and recording. This was not casual practice. It was intentional preparation.

Development Through Systems, Not Luck

As Saniya’s career expanded, Marshae formalized her approach. She developed modeling skills through structured training, industry workshops, and direct coaching — including posture, camera engagement, posing etiquette, body language, and what would later become a signature walk they are both known for.

As a creative director and photographer, Marshae designed a repeatable system of themed photoshoots to meet industry demands for updated portfolios every six months. This system served models, actors, and music artists alike.

Each experience was carefully coordinated:

Tiered photo needs (headshots, artist shots, creative looks)
Scheduled call times
Rotating photographer scenes
Hair, makeup, styling coordination
Coaching on camera presence, interviews, and runway readiness

This wasn’t content creation. It was career preparation!

Proven Results

Through this system:

Saniya walked Los Angeles Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week
She became a paid cover model, high-end fashion, print, and runway model
She was published internationally, including Italy and New York newsstands
Her work appeared across major fashion platforms and editorial outlets
She became a paid actress, landing extra, principle and main charachter roles
Both Marshae and Saniya earned placement with Getty Images
Marshae herself became a paid runway model, creative director, and runway director
They were compensated by designers, events, and productions for their work

In music, Marshae guided Saniya’s development as a recording artist — teaching cadence, tempo, writing, and performance through direct coaching. She built networks, organized dancers, secured venues, and planned performances tied to high-profile fashion showcases.
